I will always remember my dad in the smell of overly powdered-sugar donuts, in the sound of “Piggies” by the Beatles, in every backpacking trip, in overly boisterous laughs, and in every act of generous love.

My dad was the greatest example of selflessness and childlike joy I will ever know. He had a way of finding curiosity in the simplest things and loving people generously, without ever expecting anything in return. I feel lucky to carry those parts of him with me.. In the little things I notice, the nature trails and the adventures I take, and the way I try to love the people around me.

I will miss him for the rest of my life, but I will keep finding pieces of him everywhere. Always together, just a little different now.❤️
